🦀🍤 Crab & Shrimp Seafood Bisque 🍤🦀
Creamy, rich, and packed with seafood flavor — perfect for a cozy meal!
Ingredients:
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 stalk celery, finely chopped
1 small carrot, finely chopped
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
3 cups seafood or chicken stock
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup dry white wine (optional)
200 g (7 oz) shrimp, peeled and deveined
200 g (7 oz) crab meat (fresh or canned)
1 tsp Old Bay seasoning (or paprika)
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1️⃣ In a large pot, melt butter with olive oil over medium heat.
2️⃣ Add onion, garlic, celery, and carrot. Sauté until softened (about 5 minutes).
3️⃣ Stir in flour and cook for 1–2 minutes to form a roux.
4️⃣ Slowly whisk in the stock and wine, stirring until smooth.
5️⃣ Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
6️⃣ Add cream, Old Bay seasoning, shrimp, and crab meat.
7️⃣ Simmer for another 5–7 minutes, until shrimp are pink and cooked through.
8️⃣ Season with salt and pepper.
9️⃣ Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot with crusty bread.
