Beef Meximelt Cheesy Taco

 

Ingredients:

 

1 lb ground beef

 

1 packet taco seasoning

 

1/4 cup water

 

1/2 cup salsa

 

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

 

1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

 

6 flour tortillas (6-8 inch)

 

Optional toppings: diced tomatoes, green onions, sour cream, jalapeños

 

Instructions:

 

In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.

 

Stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.

 

Add salsa to the beef mixture and stir until combined.

 

Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave.

 

Spoon beef mixture into the center of each tortilla.

 

Sprinkle with cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese.

 

Roll up each tortilla like a burrito or taco.

 

Place filled tortillas on a baking sheet and broil for 2–3 minutes until the cheese is melty.

 

Serve warm with your favorite toppings.
